Arrangements of IAHR Student Chapter Sichuan University

1. To actively involve the students in the international community of hydraulic engineering and research. To enable the student affiliates to gain experience and contacts for their future careers through involvement in an influential international hydraulics association.
The first meeting was held on Nov.17th 2002 to discuss and draft the Student Chapter By-laws. All the officers were present.

2. We had made a series of propagations such as making an exhibition board, and we are planning to make an webpage and an internal magazine for our chapter towards all the students major in Water Resource and Hydraulics in china.

3.We will invite foreign experts to give lectures for us. We are planning to recruit some papers for all sorts of the congresses and forums.

4. We have organized some students of our college to visit the Zipingpu Hydraulic Project, which is an under-construction project in Sichuan province, the South West of China. We will have a visit to the Three-gorge project and some other famous hydraulic projects this year.

5. We are planning to strengthen the communications with IAHR HQ to get more information and chance for study. We are planning to contact with some world famous university.
