IAHR - SHF

#iahrEurope

IAHR has recently signed a agreement with Société Hydrotechnique de France. IAHR seeks to work with national water engineering associations across the world to share and leverage the latest research and best practices

The agreement reinforces the shared vision of both ethe Société Hydrotechnique de France and IAHR to promote holistic water management.  The agreement  accelerates the benefits of international exchange, by providing valuable opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and joint initiatives on regional and global scales. We look forward to the fruits of this cooperation!

About SHF

IAHR and SHF With 600 members and numerous industrial and institutional partnerships, the Société Hydrotechnique de France (SHF) has been working to share knowledge, innovation, and foresight in the fields of water science and engineering since 1912.

The SHF brings together manufacturers, design offices, operators, public and private research centers, and public stakeholders. It constitutes a place for the multidisciplinary and transversal mixing of all knowledge concerning Water: scientific, socio-economic, and technological knowledge of professions in the sector.

Training, knowledge transfer and networking are at the heart of the SHF’s activities. Conferences and seminars, publication of the international journal La Houille Blanche created in 1902, distribution of technical works and white papers allow SHF members to broaden the reflective scope of their know-how and practice.

The SHF's study sectors concern all areas of Water: quantitative and qualitative resources, hydrology, hydraulics, fluid mechanics, hydrotechnical sciences, risk study, hydroelectricity, hydraulic machines, new technologies for water, hydromorphology, new renewable energies (particularly marine), simulation and digital modeling. This list also includes social and environmental engineering as well as economic and societal issues.
