She earned a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University (Egypt) in 2013, followed by diplomas and two master’s degrees in hydrology. Hadir pursued her Master of Science (thesis track) under the supervision of Dr. Hossam Moghazy. Hadir worked on her thesis to evaluate several satellite precipitation products and their hydrological applications over the Eastern Nile basin. With over 11 years of experience, she specializes in hydrology, flood risk analysis, remote sensing, and modeling, and has published around 15 publications (posters, articles …). In April 2024, she received a fellowship from the JSPS RONPAKU PROGRAM to obtain her PhD degree from Kyoto University under the supervision of Prof. Sameh Kantoush. She is currently working on her dissertation focusing on the prediction of extreme hydro-climatic events over the MENA region.
