Hadir graduated from Saint Joseph French High School in 2008 and received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University in 2013. Following her graduation, she joined the Department of Irrigation Engineering and Hydraulics at Alexandria University as a teaching assistant. While teaching hydrology-related courses, she completed a Diploma in Water Resources Engineering in 2015 and subsequently obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Hydrology in 2018. In 2021, she began a second master's program under the thesis track to further strengthen her research background. She is currently an assistant lecturer at the Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology, K-Mariout, Alexandria, where she has taught approximately seven undergraduate courses. In April 2024, Hadir was awarded a fellowship to pursue her PhD studies at Kyoto University under the supervision of the Kantoush Laboratory. Her doctoral research focuses on teleconnection-informed prediction of hydro-climatic extremes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and its implications for hydrological risk management and dam safety. Throughout more than twelve years of academic and professional experience, she has developed expertise in flood risk assessment, hydrology, hydro-climatology, remote sensing, climate variability, extreme event analysis, early warning systems, and numerical modeling. Her research achievements include approximately 20 scientific publications, including journal papers, conference papers, posters, and a book chapter, which have collectively received more than 120 citations. She has also received around 11 academic awards and recognitions. Among her notable achievements, she received the IHE Delft Scholarship for the international training course River Basin Water Resources in a Changing Climate: Application of Open-Source Data and Tools during 2023–2024. She was also awarded a competitive USAID Travel Grant to participate in a workshop at Utah State University in the United States, further expanding her international research experience. Hadir is an active member of several distinguished professional societies, including the American Geophysical Union (AGU), the European Geosciences Union (EGU), the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE), and the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate. In addition to her academic work, she has contributed to consulting projects related to flood risk assessment and mitigation in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Jordan
