About
Maulana Ibrahim Rau, PhD, is a researcher at the Sustainable Society Laboratory at Kajima Technical Research Institute (KaTRI), Japan. He was previously an academic at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of IPB University (Indonesia) for six years. Prior to joining KaTRI, he was a graduate researcher at the Department of Environmental Science and Technology (Laboratory of Hydraulics and Water Management) at Niigata University, Japan, and Geoinformation Technology and Cartography at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. Since 2014, Maulana has been involved in various private consulting and research projects in Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, and the UK, focusing on water resources and geoinformatics. His research interests include flood modeling, hydrological and hydraulic studies, GIS/remote sensing applications, and the development of water management platforms.
