Tobias Bleninger is Professor in the undergraduate course of Environmental Engineering (since 10/8/21), as well as in the Graduate courses of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering (PPGERHA) and Environmental Engineering (PPGEA) of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR, general indicators of UFPR). He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Hydraulics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (2006), Germany, and graduated with a diploma degree in Civil Engineering with special focus on Environmental Hydraulics at the same university. Tobias Bleninger has more than 22 years experience on the design and modeling of outfall systems, including internal diffuser hydraulics and coupling hydrodynamic models (CORMIX and Delft3D). He is a member of IWA, IAHR, DWA and the ABRHidro (vice coordinator of the technical committee on Limnological Engineering and Environmental Fluid Mechanics), and co-opted member of the leadership team of the “IAHR/IWA Joint Committee on Marine Outfall Systems“. He has experience in the field of hydraulics and fluid mechanics, applying numerical methods, doing field and lab studies. Current research topics are hydraulics of waterways and transport phenomena in reservoirs.
