About

Professor Saiyu Yuan is a Full Professor of Hydraulics and River Dynamics at Hohai University (China). His research encompasses hydraulics, river dynamics, environmental hydraulics, and ecohydraulics, with a particular focus on the interactions between flow processes and aquatic ecosystems. He has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed articles in leading international journals. Professor Yuan currently serves as Associate Editor for the IAHR Journal of Hydraulic Research (2024–), Associate Editor for the Journal of Ecohydraulics (2022–), and Associate Editor for the Acta Geophysica (2024–). He is Vice Chairman of the Hydraulic Committee of the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society (CHES).
