About

Assist. Prof. Antonija Harasti is a researcher and lecturer at University of Zagreb Faculty of Civil Engineering in Croatia. Her PhD research developed a novel framework for improving bridge pier scour prediction by integrating key hydrodynamic variables into predictive empirical models. Her current research focuses on advancing the understanding of hydrodynamic and sediment transport processes in fluvial environments. As a member of the River Dynamics and Sediment Transport Laboratory (RISED), she leads sustained field-based investigations of sediment transport and river hydromorphodynamics. Her interests include the development of innovative sediment monitoring techniques and enhancing knowledge of water–sediment interactions.
