Abstract: A linear programming optimization model has been developed for Volusia County, Florida to determine water supply strategies that satisfy future public supply utility and agricultural demands while minim izing surficial aquifer drawdown at sensitive wetland areas. The model's ability to simulate the response of the aquifer system was verified using MODFLOW.
