Abstract: Climate change, a critical issue of the 21st century, has already led to an increase in extreme weather events worldwide. These events pose a significant risk to urban areas, particularly those located in climate change hotspots. The city of Lisbon is highly susceptible to these changes, with flash floods being a significant concern. This study assesses the flood risk in downtown Lisbon under various climate change scenarios and examines the potential of nature-based solutions to adapt the city to these impacts.
