Abstract: The flow and bed profile in vane-installed curved channel are investigated analytically and experimentally in order to establish a hydraulic design method of vanes works. The distribution of secondary flow is derived from vorticity equation for a vane-installed flow and the transverse bed profile is determined using the obtained the distribution of secondary flow. The theoretical results are compered with the experimental results. As a results, it is shown that theoretical results coincide with experimental results and this theoretical analyzing method to evaluate the flow and bed profile in vane-installed curved channel is useful and accurate.
