Abstract: The pyroclastic flow is the flow in which heavy pyroclastic materials are suspended in air and the mixture of the air and the pyroclastic materials flows down in the slope direction. It is well known that the pyroclastic flow can move down in the long distance. This fact can be explained by the following mechanism. The heavy mixture of pyroclastic materials and air create the mean flow down in the slope direction and produce the turbulent motions. The pyroclastic materials can be kept into suspension and the new materials can be easily suspended by the strong turbulence motion. Thus, self-accelerating circles can be established.
