The Motion and Entrainment of a Gravity Current on a Slope

Abstract: Flow characteristics of a miscible gravity current travelling down a slope are experimentally investigated. A number of important parameters involved are quantified as functions of bottom slopes. The study is directed toward the determination of an entrainment coefficient in the front part of the flow.
