Studies on Waves Generated by Landslide

Abstract: Waves generated by landslide along river or reservoir bank is usually very high and very fast, and can cause sever damages to humanbeings as well as their belongs. A multi-dimensional mathematical model is established in this paper and used to study waves generated by Huanglashi landslide in the Three Gorges reach of the Yangtze, the effects of the waves on Badong county town which is the nearest town to Huanglashi, and the effects of landslide materials on the river channel.
