Abstract: A plane multi-layered model for simulating hydrodynamics and water quality changes concerning eutrophication in a stratified reservoir is described. In a case study, algae blooming is realized and its control by flow circulation ensuing from bubble plume is predicted. The validity of the simulation model and the effect of the control technique are estimated and discussed through the results.
