Abstract: Using the depth-averaged turbulent flow model and the diffusion-convection equation, the two-dimensional flow field and concentration field of the branching channels have been couplingly solved in this paper. Regional Coordinate System method is proposed to treat the irregular boundary. The distribution rates of pollutant in the two branches have been obtained through numerical integration over 'the outlet sections. The numerical results show that the distribution rates of pollutant in the two branch are closely related to the location of influent point, the branching angles and the momentum of influx. The agreement of the numerical results with the experiment data is good enough.
