Abstract: The modelisation described here was developed to investigate the response of a hydrographic basin to an atmospheric release of pollutant. It involves a model of atmospheric transport which computes the fallout and model of aquatic transfer in watershed and in rivers. The secondary contamination of the river through the washing out of the contaminated soils by the rain is computed by means of conceptual storage models. The simulation of the hydrographic basin response to an accidental release was repeated on a sample of real meteorological and hydrological situations to get series of data describing the pollutant concentration evolution and which were then analysed with statistical tools.
