Abstract: A numerical methodology for simulating the time series of significant wave height and significant wave period is presented. The method is applied to estimate the corresponding wave climate simulator associated with the data obtained from the COQUILLE waverider buoy located at the coast of Oregon. The two basic stochastic properties of the estimated wave climate simulator are: a) Log-normal probability density functions with annual periodic parameters to describe p (H_s) st aincd spt (T_s), and b) Double-variable first-order autoregressive stochastic structure to describe correlations.
