Abstract: Based on experiments and analyses, the buoyancy force acting on a bodysubmerged in water-solid mixture was investigated. it is concluded that whetherthe mixture is a Newtonian or a non-Newtonian fluid only the suspended soild par-ticles much finer than the body wi11 increase the buoyancy force on the body. Ingenerall, the buoyance force is a function of the relative size of the body tothe suspended particles and has a maximum value of █mV and a minimum value of ' █v.
