Abstract: A two-dimensional depth-averaged mathematical model using curviliner body-fitted coordinates is presented. Turbulent transport terms in the model equa-tions are calculated by the "k-e" turbulence mode1. The mathematical model was used to investigate the velocity and concentration fields around a water intake structure. Computational results are compared with the scale model measurements.
