Abstract: A simulation model of local scour around a non-uniform circular pier, whose diameters are different between upper and lower parts, is obtained through physical consideration. It is revealed that the effect of the top elevation of the lower cylinder on scouring process is more remarkable as itsdiameter becomes 1arger. elevation of the lower cylinder on scouring process is more remarkable as itsdiameter becomes 1arger.
