Abstract: Based on theoretical consideration and computational results, it is shown that, for both viscous and nonviscous fluids, vorticity is generated by boundary conditions and not by viscosity. For this reason a physically quite realistic secondary current and flow separation can be simulated with a non-viscous flow model with a proper use of a generalized Kutta-Joukowsy condition.
