Abstract: Tests were carried out in an undistorted model to reproduce the sedimentation and flushing of a small reservoir. The bedload was reproduced by sand and the suspended load by plastic of lower density. For comparision three tests were made, two with sand and plastic and the third with sand only. It is shown that both the reproduction of the fine material with plastic and the initial channel configuration play dominant roles.
