Numerical Simulation Techniques of Typhoon Storm Surge

Abstract: This paper describes the numerical simulation techniques of storm surge induced by typhoon. Two kinds of subjects are contained in this paper. One is on the characteristics of typhoon model in order to generate the wind field and atmospheric pressure field, and another is on the simulation tech-niques to calculate the storm surge height by finite difference method.
