Abstract: The hasty acceptance of WASSP in the UK as a 'standard' for the computer simulation of storm sewer flows has resulted in a misconception by many that it is a universal panacea. The implications of using a standard methodology for the analysis and verification process are considered in the context of two complex sewer systems.
