Abstract: The effect of very large suspended sediment concentrations on the friction slope of an open channel flow, and on sewer flow hydrograph components was studied. With the increase in suspended sediment concentration, the friction slope decreases, the computed peak flow rate decreases, and the computed time to peak increases.
