Abstract: Due to the rapid development of urban underground space and frequent occurrence of extreme heavy rainfall events, underground spaces were often attacked by floods. Flood prevention was an urgent issue that needs to be taken seriously and must be addressed in underground space development. Based on the geographical information characteristics, flood characteristics, and disaster characteristics of different underground spaces, underground space flood indicator system was constructed in this study. Most of the morphological indexes can be obtained by plane map, design map, planning map, satellite image, current standard specification or field measurement, while the calculation indexes were mainly simulated by hydrodynamic method and deduced by empirical formula. Taking the safe evacuation water depth at the surface exit of the underground space as the control condition, the safe evacuation time for a specific underground space was derived and the method for drawing the volume-depth-disaster curve of the underground space was proposed, which provided a data basis for generalizing and abstracting a representative underground space model, studying the response mechanism of underground space volume to flooding and waterlogging, and mastering the invasion mechanism and laws of urban underground space floods.
