Abstract: A fluid structure interaction model is presented in this study. Fluid part of model is developed by using moving particle semi-implicit method (MPS) and structure part of model is developed by finite element method (FEM). An idealized sequential dam-break problem is solved with the proposed model. Pressure changes on upper and lower dams are investigated for different water levels. In addition to pressures on dam bodies, free surfaces are observed for investigation of behavior of flood in lower reservoir. Although, its effect is negligible, displacements on the lower dam are given for the sake of completeness.
