Abstract: The hydrological context of Burundi indicates the availability of several small rivers for which there is no hydrological information such as the discharge. Through the discharge measurements of the Mwogere river, the aim of the paper is to characterize the river by the maximum and minimum discharge in order to identify the adequate small hydraulic turbines that may operate in the real hydrological conditions of this Mwogere river.
