Abstract: For the design of structural measures in torrents several different approaches were applied in Austria. To overcome this unsatisfying situation and to harmonize the design criteria the Austrian Standard Series ONR 24800 was proclaimed between 2008 and 2013. A revised version will be published in 2019 as ONORM B4800.
