Development of an Artificial-Neural-Network-Based Concept for Hydro-Morphodynamic Modelling in Rivers

Abstract: A new modelling concept based on three ANN-based approximators has been proposed. The model system was tested for predicting evolution of a 3D isolated bump in a straight alluvial channel. Compared to a conventional numerical model, this new model showed good performance.
