Abstract: Urban growth presents various challenges and socio-environmental impacts, among which is the irregular occupation of Permanent Preservation Areas. The lack of continuous monitoring in Brazilian municipalities allows occupations of these locations to advance aggressively, causing various consequences in the riparia vegetation and watercourses that reflect in the city itself. In this context, this work conducted an analysis of the occupation of the riparian vegetation of Ribeirão Anicuns in the municipality of Goiânia – GO, Brazil, of its degradation, identifying points of waste disposal, erosion, siltation and built areas within the protection area through orthomosaic generated from surveying by Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems – RPA. The identification of areas susceptible to flooding was carried out through hydrodynamic modeling in HEC-RAS, where flow occurrences for return periods were 10 years.
