SERGHEI-SWE: Performance Portability, Analysis and Optimisations

Abstract: SERGHEI-SWE is a performance-portable, highly scalable shallow water solver targeting modern heterogenous HPC systems. In this contribution we quantify its performance and portability across different high-performance computing systems with diverse architectures. We also report on performance analysis strategies to identify bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities to further improve the computational efficiency of the solver, further contributing to the applicability of shallow water solvers and facilitating the deployment by the user community of SERGHEI-SWE on HPC systems.
