Abstract: Urbanization and climate change leads to water management challenges in urban areas due to the increased frequency and intensity of extreme precipitation events. Green Roofs (GR) can retain and detain runoff, reducing it. The present study examined an extensive pilot GR system's hydrological performance, which achieved a mean peak attenuation of 90.8%, a peak delay of up to 14 min and a runoff delay between 3.706.21 min, showing that GR enhances urban stormwater management, contributing to cities resilience in a climate change scenario.
