Abstract: Troia touristic development have two distinct water supply networks, each serving a specific purpose. One network provides water for human consumption, while the other is designed to irrigate the green spaces within the area. In both networks, the water source is from underground boreholes. The Troia WWTP treats effluents generated in the Troia touristic development area in the municipality of Grandola. Currently, the treated wastewater is discharged into the natural environment. With the new development of the Troia Peninsula and a commitment to sustainable water resource management, there is a recognized need to implement a Water for Reuse (WfR) system for irrigating green spaces within the resort.
