Abstract: This paper presents a web-based decision co-creation platform designed to showcase water treatment technologies for a circular economy approach developed as part of the EU H2020-funded ULTIMATE project. This system will investigate three case studies focusing on water and nutrient recovery in greenhouses, pre-treatment of wastewater from olive mills before integration into communal wastewater systems, and value-added compound recovery from wastewater in a juice factory, respectively. In the subsequent development phase, the three cases will be merged into one abstract composite case; this would show all three aspects of the problem, connect greenhouses, juice factories, and olive mills, and develop examples of an industrial “metabolic network” of the circular economy. The paper describes the interactive visualization framework developed to allow users to explore these problems and offer corresponding solutions.
