A Further Study of Exponential Law for Velocity Distribution in Open Ch Annel and Pipe

Abstract: In this paper, based on the principle of continuty of the discharge flux, the exponential law for the velocity -- distribution on the smooth and rough chute, round pipe and bucket is studied, the results of analysis have shown that the exponent n in the boundary layer is a function of ▲. This paper has also verified that the principle of continuty of the discharge flux is equivalent to the principle of mean velocity and the principle of displacem ent thickness of boundary layer. The logarithm ic law for the velocity -- distribution in the bucket is analyzed, an empirical form ula calculating the parameter of the logarithmic law has suggested.
