Abstract: There are several flood routing models presently available. While some methods require simple flow data, others require vast survey data in addition. Therefore, selection of a suitable method is always a problem. In order to make a selection, six well known routing procedures covering both hydrological as well as hydraulic principles are compared by applying them to two Indian rivers.
