Abstract: Coasts are places where people can excite and relax through their contact with thesea,and with today's greater expectations of spiritual enrichment in one's lifestyle,coastal areas have become even more important than before. With the presupposition of safety from erosion and other forms of coastal damage,people now expect their coasts not merely to be in their natural states,but rather tofunction as sites of new environmental creation adapted to diverse needs,includingpreservation of the coastal environment in ways friendly to the ecosystem;utilizationas oceanic recreation spots;and contribution to the regional development.
