Abstract: With the rising standard of living and diversification of recreational activities beingprimed by increased leisure,major rivers have been used with rapidly increasing frequency inrecent years for a variety of sports and leisure activities and other such recently popular uses oflocal waterways as boat racing,canoeing,pleasure boating,and "water bus"commuting;thusthe safety and enjoyment of rivers and waterways is becoming increasingly important.
