Abstract: Variouscorrelationsforfullydeveloped turbulent flow of Variouscorrelationsforfullydeveloped turbulent flow of homogeneous non-Newtonian suspensions have been tested using some availablel experimental data. Since the existing correlations involve various forms of the Reynolds number and several of them give predictions with relatively large errors, it has been suggested that the Reynolds number based on the apparent viscosity at the wall could be used in the well known Colebrook - white equation. This approach enables to consider not only the rheological behaviour of suspensions, but also the roughness of commercially produced pipelines.
