Abstract: The Cookhouse Tunnel is a 13,22 km long partially-lined water tunnel 4,63m diameter (where lined) and 5,03 m (Where unlined) which transfers water under free-flow conditions between two adjoining river basins, the Fishand little Fish Rivers, in the Bastern Cape Region of South Africa. It was geologically inspected and hydraulically monitored to determine the causes of deterioration and extent of possible eventual reduction in discharge capacity.
