Abstract: In order to avoid enormous experimental efforts to reduce theresistance of ferries or ships with sharp edged hulls,computercalculations of the velocity and pressure distribution wereperformed.The results were compared with experimental datawhich were gained amongst others by Laser-Doppler-Anemometry.
