Abstract: An analysis of shoaling waves near a breaking point is shown. In this analysis, the horizontal and vertical coordinates of surface profile are given as functions of horizontal and time axes. And a WKB-perturbation method is used. Wave heights, surface profiles and velocity distribution of water particles near a breaking point are discussed.
