Abstract: The paper discusses cavitation in a high head outlet works, not simply as a case-study but a rare opportunity to compare results from major instrumentation programs in both model studies and the field installation It is hoped that this work, which has broken new ground, will assist a better under-standing of the phenomenon as it applies to the design of hydraulic structures.
