Abstract: Certain results on prototype observations for open pipe flow behind gates with aeration both from aeration hole and from the end of pipe through the clearance overfree water surface are given. Together with the data acquirable on similar projects, a calculating measure on necessary aeration quantity is suggested for design purpose.
