Abstract: In this paper some experiments have been conducted for both of so-called "bucket supercritical flow" (case A) and "bucket-jump" (case B). The estimations of maximum turbulent intensity of pressure fluctuation are proposed: (0.065~0.075) ▲/2g for case A, and (0.15~0.16) ▲/2g for case B. The discus-sion on correlative and coherent structures and turbulent scales of pressures fluctuation is presented herein. The objective of the present paper is to explore the pattern of fluctuating pressure on the bottom of bucket which is relevent to many practical and scien-tific problems. For instance, engineers are interested in loads applied to structures, and they want to know the statistical characteristics of the dynamic load for the purpose of design. Additionally, it is necessary to take account of the influences of pressure fluctuations for detailed study on cavitation and cavitation damages. Moreover, the interaction between the structure and flow is expressed on the boundary, mainly as fluctuating pressure. According to the equation of fluctuating pressure one can obtain some knowledge about the inner structure of flow from the research on fluctuating pressure. In this paper some experiments have been conducted for both of so-called "bucket supercritical flow" (case A) and "bucket-jump" (case B). Experiments were performed in a glass-sided flume, in which was installed a mode l spillway. Some test parameters are given in table 1.
