Abstract: A surcharge flow model considering transient backwater effects is used to simulate a hypothetical sewer network system. The non-inertia ap proximation is adopted to route the gravity flow. For surcharge flow, routing by using the dynamice quation a pplied to the pressurized conduit is compared with those by the non-inertia model with the Preissmann slot and also by the SWMM model.
