Abstract: In this regard, the river behavior could be modeled hydraulically; for it, is great to know inflows received along the rivercourse. In Magdalena-Cauca basin has been found a serious of information deficiency in tributaries flow near to its mouth. As there are information only in 15 of the 42 principal tributaries. Hydrological modeling is an alternative to determine the contributions, in terms of flow discharges, of each sub-basin to the river, so that they can be used as a complement to the entries in the hydraulic analysis. In this case the strategy used is the regional modeling to achieve the simulation of the 27 tributaries without information. Wflow hydrological model was calibrated regionally using hydrological information of twelve sub-basins. The simulation in general represents adequately the observed hydrographs. However, the major flaws in estimating peak flows result especially in small sub-basins. Based on results we founded that Wflow model is an excellent tool for the simulation the Magdalena River’s flow. The simulation of tributaries flows, especially those with small catchment areas, requires a model with higher resolution or local models that adequately represent the hydrography of them.
