Thermal Discontinuities Along a Lowland River: The Importance of Land Use

Abstract: Spatial thermal heterogeneity along a 195 km stretch of River Spree, Germany, was quantified via heat budget model, semi-empirical model and statistical correlation. Results indicated that lakes and urban area induced four distinct thermal sections in summer.
