Abstract: The water heads over the crest and discharge coefficients were measured in each experiment. Hydraulic parameters of sharp-crested weirs and labyrinth weirs were compared with each other by using the experimental and numerical method. It was observed that for linear and labyrinth weirs of equal weir height, discharge capacity increases as the angle between the weir and the flow direction decreases.
